The ministries and activities of a church should reflect the priorities of Christ. With the birth of the church in Acts 2 we’re given not only a description, but also a prescription of what we should be about.
Acts 2:41-47 states:
“Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church – about three thousand in all. They joined with the other believers and devoted themselves to the apostle’s teaching [discipleship], and fellowship, sharing in the Lord’s supper and in prayer…They worshiped together at the Temple each day…
the Lord added to their group those who were being saved [outreach].”
